The Role
As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the revenue-generating strategy across all commercial dimensions of World of Volvo. You will lead sales for events and meetings, partner collaborations, retail/shop offerings, and even special programs and exhibitions. You will ensure that everything delivered under your leadership is aligned with our brand identity: immersive, sustainable, human-centric, and high quality.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across venues & events, exhibitions, retail/shop, food & beverage partnerships, and corporate collaborations.
•Identify and cultivate new business opportunities (B2B & B2C) to grow revenue streams while maintaining brand integrity and guest experience.
•Lead, build, and coach a high-performing sales team that is deeply aligned with the values of World of Volvo: customer-centricity, sustainability, creativity, quality.
•Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, guest relations, experience design, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery and a unified brand experience.
•Use insights from data, guest feedback, and market trends to refine sales offers, pricing, packaging, and partner models.
•Oversee budgets, forecasts and KPIs; be accountable for meeting revenue targets, margin objectives, and growth metrics.
•Maintain and strengthen relationships with key partners, stakeholders, sponsors, vendors, and community organizations.
What You Bring
•Significant experience in sales and leading sales teams in experience centres, hospitality, or event/exhibition spaces. Preferably with exposure to integrated revenue streams (events, retail, F&B, experiences).
•Innate ability to combine commercial ambition with a strong sense of brand, design, and guest experience.
•Skilled in partnership development, with network and ability to negotiate and close deals.
•High resilience, adaptability, and leadership in an environment with many moving parts. Multiple event types, changing exhibitions, hybrid experience formats.
•Strong communication skills, fluent in English and Swedish.
•Alignment with sustainability, design excellence, people centric values.
